BCM at 4 1/2 weeks (hatched January 10th)

When I picked them at 2 days old, about half the hatch already had combs. So I picked the three without, but now one is growing. Thoughts?
Watch and wait. The roo's will outstrip the pullets in comb and wattle development. Eventually the male feathers will show, but that often isn't until 10 weeks or later.

Early, I watch for comb and wattle development.

This is my first BCM, so I am reading up on this breed...it seems the roo's get pretty big combs fast.

I've got an email into my breeder with my photos to see what she has to say. If anything of note, I'll pass it along to you.

Breeder's guess right now is 2 pullets and definitely 1 roo.

The one with the orange showing already is definitely a pullet, but will likely have too much color for standard...however she says often that means they lay the darkest eggs.

I'll keep watching the other "pullet" to see if that comb stays small or starts blossoming.

Now to figure out what I'll do with the roo.
