The other night our chicken Kim had a stand off with a raccoon. She has survived with a few injuries and seems to be doing alright. We've been feeding her soup broth and will try yogurt tomorrow. She finally slept last night.

However her tongue keeps sticking to the top beak on left side. I would say it sticks 90 percent of the time. We haven't forced the beak open in fear of it breaking. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Sorry about your hen's injury. You might try putting her regular chicken feed in water to make a paste, and place it in a bowl with high sides, such as a dog bowl to make it easier to peck at. This should get more fluids into her, but also keep fresh water available. If that doesn't work, then I would try to tube feed her. Go to the search bar at the top of the page, and type in "go team tube feeding."
