Beak trimming

I have a barred rock with a beak problem. The top grows crooked and the bottom is extremely long..
The two beaks do not meet at all. . She can eat her crumbles, but she can't get any thing off the ground.
She is a healthy weight, actually bigger then her siblings I would like to take the hook off her top beak
and shorten the lower. Any advice ( Her name is Snaggletooth) Thanks

A picture would help if that is possible. You might also do some reserch on here. I trim the beak of our show birds but never the lower beak only the upper.
