First, just for Jody and Carri, Nugget! She's 20 weeks old now, can you believe it?

Nugget and Penny, for Spotted Crow-here's your Penny's namesake, S.C. No eggs from her yet. Her sister, Lucy, has been laying about a week.

The younger RIR girls, trying to figure out how to get into the compost:

Mace and his big brother Dutch watch over the girls:

Nelda, my Eating Machine:

Snow, my sweetheart chatterbox, with New Hampshire, Penny, in the background:

One of my Welsummer girls, Justine.

Poor Caroline! She used to be a Buff Brahma. Now, she's just miserable from her hard molt.

Nora, with June and Ginger in the background

Panda, Zane's daughter, and GLW, Vada:

Reba, one of my two remaining hatchery RIRs, and Sunny:

Shadow, my only bantam...so far.

Violet, the last remaining SLW from my original flock, though I do have the Princesses (Virgina & Victoria) Violet fights bumblefoot constantly, but it's so much better than it used to be. She'll be three years old in January

Dutch checks out his brother, Zane's accomodations:

She is! And she is a pain every night because she is the last to go into the pen. The scratch can shaking has little effect on her.

Here are a few more pics from this awesome day.

It looks like everyone had a great time! I just had to cut Stupid and company's free ranging day short because a hawk came swooping down out of nowhere. You've never seen a pregnant broad run so fast!
