Ok, so I incubated an egg from a cross between my older Ameraucana rooster and my lone remaining White Leghorn hen; the chick ended up looking like a White Leghorn with a smattering of black spots. She ended up in the harem of old roo's son, an Ameraucana x Ameraucana roo with gorgeous fiery orange shoulders. I hatched a couple of her eggs this last go-round and both look like pullets so far. And they're absolutely beautiful. They have the flag-like tails of their Gramma and the puffy cheeks (lookit those CHEEKS in the middle pic!!!) and combs of their father's side of the family. Strangely, their mother has the steel legs of her father but both these little ladies have very light colored legs.

The red and brown bird in the bottom right of the last two pics is an Ameraucana x RIR, and she's VERY bossy.
