I have a bunch of pigeons for sale: ALL colors. I have probably about 100 pigeons, so I'm looking to cut down that number. I have a bunch of PURE BLACK pigeons, and pure white ones, and every color in between. Some have feather feet. None have mites or lice, but as you can imagine, their coop is getting very crowded.

If you're in Colorado and looking for some nice birds, here's your chance! They are moderately tame and will make great pets and even show birds, especially the rare pure black ones. I'll also consider shipping. Delivery to some parts of Colorado.

$6 each or $10 per pair.

These pigeons are to a GOOD HOME ONLY. They are NOT for target practice or dog training! I would also much prefer selling them to you if you will let them fly at least some of the time, instead of cooping them up for the rest of their lives. They are all very used to freedom and I wouldn't want to take that away from them. They have NEVER flown away.

Post, PM, or email me for questions, info, or to request more close up photos.

    Thanks! [IMG]

Any idea what breed they are? I wouldn't want any homers for obvious reasons. I think they'd get lost on the way back 'home' [IMG]

How much would shipping be to 42728 for a pair and a male? We have 5 pigeons, 3 females and 2 males [IMG]

Hi [IMG] That's a tricky question....they are pretty much all breeds, although there aren't any tumblers, fantails, or owls, but by now they are so mixed that I'm not sure if there are ANY purebreds.....it's been very interesting to watch their progression: I started out with only around a dozen pigeons over ten years ago. From there, they have mixed and mixed, although they never seem to inbreed. There are maybe 6 or 7 prominent families/bloodlines, and several other minor bloodlines, and a few years ago at least one wild rock pigeon mixed with them, creating a whole new strain of beautiful blacks and grays when they mixed with the brown strain. The feather-foot gene seems to pop up quite often too and they sometimes (rarely) have crests. So now, I would just say loosely that they are a 'common' breed of pigeon. I think some of them may possibly have a little bit of homer mixed in, but I don't think I'll be a problem at all, if you just pen them up for a month or two before letting them fly free. I always do this when I get new pigeons, and it has always worked, especially if they have babies: then they'll stay for sure. [IMG]

They are certainly beauties though, no matter what breed they are: right now, I have pure blacks, whites, browns, speckled, pied, spotted, and any combination in between, some with feathered feet. There's a real beauty that is light gray with white outlines and head....and a pure white pigeon with feather feet....and a white pigeon that looks like it's been speckled with pepper, not to mention a black pigeon that looks like it's been sprinkled with salt! [IMG] Some even have one orange eye and one black eye! The oldest pigeon I have (over 10 years old) is a deep, chocolate brown with a gray tail area and a white stripe on his head.

Using the shipping calculator on USPS.com, I'm thinking shipping would be around $45-$60 dollars, depending on the weight of the box, and not including the price of the birds (I'll charge around $14 for the three), and the price of the box, if I have to buy one. [IMG] Quite a lot for three pigeons.....just so they arrive safely. [IMG] I'll be sure to check the price in more detail when I go to the post office, and let you know.

If you're interested, just let me know, and I can probably get some more pictures up if you'd like.....I would probably be able to ship by as soon as Monday.

    Thanks! [IMG]
