    Sunny side up :)
I am wondering if beauty berry bush also known as Callicarpa americana is safe for chickens? The wild birds love the pretty pink berries. It is a food source for Northern Bobwhites and White tailed deer. I checked the toxic plants list and it isn't on there by botanical or regular name. I just realized there are dozens of these in my yard and right behind the chicken coops as well, and they are loaded with berries. They are so pretty... Does anyone feed beauty berries to thier chickens?

Oh good. It would be great if this was safe for them ~I am trying to get stuff to grow on our property like berries, mulberry trees, and other nuts and fruits they can eat.

This forum is wonderful. I just type in the name of a plant I'm thinking of feeding my chickens, and up comes all the experience. Thanks, beauty berry is ripe for the clipping now. The girls will get a treat.
