I have been getting 3.plus eggs per day from my one year old back stars.
They love their new home with both indoor and outdoor roost. Plus lots of free range time when I'm home before sundown.
Got my 1st double yoke egg.. 100 grams, or 3.5 oz. wow.. super jumbo.
My ave egg is 2.5 oz
Today was the 1st day in the month I've had them that only got 2 eggs.
Bugs and worms are really starting to show in my 3/4 acre lawn, and the girls love the free range they get.
Fact is, I completed this coop about a month ago, and already have plans to sell it once the 4x8 house and 8x12 run is complete.
It's gunna be cool.
