Hey all! I live in Oregon and I’ve got 5 grown hens and 4 little chickies. The breeds we have Buff Orpingtons, Easter Eggers, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, and Cream Crested Legbar.

I don’t have any other friends that adore raising chickens like I do, so I decided to join this community of chicken fans!

:ya A nice mixed flock. So sweet! I love babies! The coop is nice. I do wonder if it has enough ventilation? Did you have any problems with frostbite last winter? When I think Oregon, I think freezing!

Hamiam brings up a very good point, coops need adequate ventilation to keep birds from get frostbite. Most can handle cold much better than heat. You have a lovely flock.

Our coop is ventilated on the backside where the roof meets the wall. In our part of Oregon, it rarely frosts. We get more rain than freezing temperatures.

That's good. I live in North Texas & thought my newest coop had plenty of ventilation. After my head hen got frostbite on her comb last winter, I had to add more.
