    I never realized until recently how fast chickens grow. Yours are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

    Much prettier with the bright combs! They sure do grow up quickly, don't they? Is your black chicken an australorp? I thought mine was so dowdy for a long time, but now I think she's my prettiest w/her glossy black/green feathers and bright red comb/wattles... You have some lovely girls! [​IMG]

    Thank you for the nice compliments

    My black girl, Bertha is a black legbar. She has the most fantastic irridescant feathers, and her comb has little black tips. Which are NOT frostbite! She makes wonderful clear brown eggs which are quite large and to the tune of 1 every 36 hours, give or take. Such a clever girl [​IMG]
