Beggar Ducks!!!

    Lastnight we dared to actually eat the corn on the cob ourselves rather than just feed it to the birds. They were absolutely appalled when I brought corn out and put it on the grill! How dare I!

    My boldest hen was trying to pop up and grab a dangling bit of husk without toasting herself.

    When we were sitting at the picnic table eating one of the ducks kept yanking on the hem of my shorts like to say, "Hey, gimme some!" When I shooed her away she went over and was nibbling on my husbands leg hairs.

    The rest of them just kept coming over and yelling at us.

    Isn't it wonderful, how secure they feel? I believe it is a sign they have been raised right! Gotta love'em!
