So when do Polish and Easter Eggers start laying? Also I have a black sex link and I am not sure if she is laying, how do I check/tell if she is laying?

The magic number is around 20 weeks hens start laying some earlier some later.....BSL (black sex-link) can start anywhere from 15 weeks on.....the comb turns really red when they are about to start and are laying....BSL will have a brown egg, EE blue, green, cream, tan, or brown egg, not sure on polish I never had one of them....

I know that the comb turns bright red when they are laying but part of the front of her comb is black, and i don't know if that is a health problem or its just natural. I heard there was another way to tell by looking at their legs or hocks or something.
