Beginning Egg Rate

Ok. I got my first egg yesterday afternoon sometime from one of either my 3 RIR or 3 BR. Have no idea which, but I suspect a RIR because they seemed to develop earlier. My question is, today I have not gotten a second egg... Is it normal to not receive an egg daily at first?

Yes it is! It may take up to a month to get production on a regular basis. You probably won't receive one daily either even after they are in full swing. Those breeds will probably each give you 5-6 eggs a week.
