Hi al!!!
I just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi! I just hatched here, and am new to the chicken world. I recently moved onto 8 acres in Piedmont, Missouri. As a housewarming gift, a neighbor gave me a rooster and a hen!
I've a lot to learn, in fact, came across this site from a Google search on building a small coop. I can't put the door on my shed until I get a coop built. That's because the hen, Sally, sleeps in the shed by the well pump. Her husband, Junior, on the other hand, sleeps atop the window a/c unit. So I need to get together some nice digs for them, so I can finish the shed!
But also, I want to get some more laying hens. So I'm hoping to learn from here, and in time, give back to the community here. I've looked over the pics of the coops posted on this site....Wow, people, some of those coops are nicer than my house!
