I have some Silver Laced Polish x Broiler chickens that I thought would be what I have heard referred to as dominant white, I think? White with a few small black spots here and there?

Anyway, they are kind of an off-white color. Looks like they've been rolling in dust and are dirty, not quite white, but not quite any other color. A few tiny little black splotches here and there. Their mothers were white broilers and were, by all appearances, pure white.

What might this color be called?

Oh, that's not very interesting! If these dirty-white birds are white, what are the white-white birds? I don't see how they can be the same thing.

And they are DEFINITELY not dirty, they have been in a wire cage brooder their whole lives so far.

I'm dying of curiosity.

It's hard to tell in the photos, but they are a dirty white, almost lavender undertones.
