I have a flock of 20, and will cull down to 10 or 12 before winter. My neighbor recently put up a new garage right on the edge of his property bordering mine, but neglected to put a door on it, so my chickens began exploring in his garage. Now he wants me to keep my chickens locked up. How can I approach him about a solution?

Quote:It's not unreasonable for someone to ask you to keep your chickens on your property. It's your responsibility to fence them in or otherwise contain them. Sorry.

Agree with the rest. You are the animal owner so need to find a way to keep your animals on your land, be it coop them up or fence them in.

I agree with everyone else. But if you want them to have excercise, you could get a chicken leash and take them for walks. Your neighbors can't complain about that, can they?[IMG]

Your critters now be a responsible owner or they may not come home, & he will be having chicken & dumplins.
