Being picky I guess

My easter egger -- dont know which one -- laid their first egg today...

very boring egg...very very very pale light pale light green-blue...

we were so hoping for a brighter color...or at least one where you could
say HEY! Those are blue or green eggs...not is that white??

anyway; the kids and I were waiting so long for these EE eggs..and we are
disappointed!!

I understand your disappointment. Because of their varied genetic background EE eggs can come in a spectrum of colors.

yeah I know...but we are just disappointed...I mean I know REALISTICALLY its just the shell color...

Hopefully her eggs will darken.

mine have gotten darker the longer they lay. I think the paint gun just needs to warm up a little.

Congrats on your first egg!!! I think that her ink jets are just getting warmed up. My first brown egg,

2 weeks ago from my barred rock was a VERY light pinky-beige but now they are brown I do so wish that I had gotten 1 EE since all of mine will lay brown eggs but there is always next year.
