Best bedding for Adult ducks?

I'm juat going to use stall mats from the feed store. They get good footing on it, and it is easy to wash off.

I use stall mats in their shed in good weather and mine are moved into a horse stall in winter where they are on sand and straw. Works fine for us.

I use straw in the covered run & in the house. Inside the hosue I put down pine pellet bedding first though, it's very absorbent, keeps the smell down A LOT, and is easy to turn over. plus the chickens like going in these and turning it for me so they can dust bath in the broken down pellets

GEM white shavings in their house. I find it really absorbent and easy to fluff up. We tried straw with shavings and I will still put straw in if it gets super cold, but it gets slimy otherwise. My ducks are always in their pool or in the snow the last few days....ugh and get the straw really wet. And yes! The chickens get in there in scratch it all up and keep it turned over!
