what is the best broody breed!!!
thats my alliteration for the day!
If I am not correct I think it is the china's but I am not for sure about it
I think all geese are good broodys if I'm not mistaken
i thought chinese were bred for egg laying
Chinese are more of a production breed, and have had -some- of their broodiness bred out. They are on par with Toulouse and Embdens - both of which will successfully hatch out their eggs, but may not do it until they get older.
All breeds of geese are still extremely broody. If you want something more broody than others, look for the heritage breeds: Pomeranians, Pilgrims, Buffs, Shetlands, etc.
