    Hello All:

I have a confirmed case of coccidiosis in my flock and I was looking for some suggestions as to how best treat the rest of the flock. I've heard of medications such as Sulmet, corrid and Sulfadimethoxine, however I'm not sure which one to buy. Also, I have 2 ducks in the flock as well. Is it safe for them to have the meds as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I've used Sulmet with very good results. I couldn't find Corid, but I wanted to use that because there is no egg withdrawal time.

You need to keep ducks out of the medicated water. They rarely get affected by cocci (although they often carry it), and they can easily be overmedicated because they drink so much more than chickens.

    Good luck.
