    I'm looking for the best kind(s) of chickens to lay eggs both most often and the best eatin'. Also the type that starts laying eggs the earliest. Thanks for the help.

    Best egg layers will be your production breed layers. Leghorns and production reds/sexlinks. Best eating would be cornish x, just like store birds.
