I will read other similar questions, but I am really looking for everyone's best/favorite coop door regardless of price. I work for a non-profit and have a grant to build mobile coops, and may actually have a budget to work with (!). I really want something that works reliably, down to -20's (New England), and won't strangle chickens who are peeking out at the wrong time.
Our old coop has the kind with strings - they're meant to be the "cold hardy" kind but the LCD panels and batteries kept freezing this past winter (colder than usual), and the string is constantly getting jammed in the gears. I don't want the string.
Thanks!!
