best ways to stop a broody hen

    i have a banty cochin that has been broody for a while no even with no eggs under her. id like her to get back to laying so i can have some eggs. i try to keep her out of the nest but she is always there. Any ideas

    Try putting her in a wire cage for a couple days with nothing else in it but food and water. The cirlculating air on her behind should make her stop.

    I'd try that first...if that doesn't work block off her nest so she can't get into it at all. She'll eventually give up and rejoin the flock. [​IMG]
