Hi, I have been here awhile but never really introduced myself. My name is Debbie and I started my flock last year with 4 laying hen. The reason I decided to keep chickens was not only for the eggs but also as a form of physical therapy. I have an auto immune disease and I'm immobile a lot of time. My chickens insure I push myself to remain active. Unfortunately , during flare ups I tend to be very direct and do not have the best judgment. The reason I included this information is to prevent future misunderstanding. I am a caring and compassionate person so if you see a post from me that seems otherwise please ask for clarification it's usually a difficulty I have finding the right words coupled with frustration.

I would also like to take this time to thank all the helpful supportive folks on BYC. My girls are happy and healthy as a result of your efforts. Thanks again, now back to hatching[IMG]

Thanks! I really am. I've really been lucky and had very few problems, I added 3 pullets and a cockerel this year. Incubating my first babies that already have a good home. It's been great so far.
