I'm trying to gather the resources to get started with a few chickens. I've never managed my own chickens, but I used to help my grandfather with his few hundred when I was a boy. Right now I don't have the means for a lot, but I'm ready to get something started. Thanks for having me here.

Thanks guys! What are the bare basics for an egg gathering chicken coop? Will chickens fly/run off if you let them out of their enclosure? Of not, how big does the actual enclosure portion have to be?
