big cut....how to cover

    i have a 7 week old cornish rock that i plan to butcher on saturday.tonight i found a large cut on the fat end of the drumstick.the skin is split pretty bad....should i just let it be or butcher now,or try to treat it? really not sure what to do any info would be very helpful.thanks chris

    I'd just butcher now... you dont want to risk it getting your meat infected.
