Big Mama, the Owl Chick

    My girlfriend has given this chick the name, "Big Mama" after the owl in Fox and the Hound (movie) Seems fitting.. I got this chick in a grab-bag from McMurray Hatchery. Lots of extra fuzz around the eyes, only a few days old in this pic. About 2 weeks old now, can grab another photo if needed. Maybe some of you have raised this breed before and can quickly identify? Growing rapidly, about 20% larger than my leghorns @ 2 weeks old. Thanks BYC!! (PS, New Member! I think I'll hang out awhile. [​IMG] )

    Thanks everyone, Assumed it was some kind of hybrid.. wasn't sure if MMH sold this type of chick or not, had me a bit confused.
