Big mean mommy won't let me look

    How can you check on the eggs a hen is sitting on....My BO Blondie lets me know if i stick my hand in there Ill probably have blood on it coming out lol as soon as I even act like im going look she lashes out and tries to peck

    Hmmm nice, thick garden gloves? It'll protect you enough not to bleed [​IMG] the only problem is handling the eggs, but you could just move them into a box or another nest box for a bit so you can take the gloves off to candle, then on go the gloves and in go the eggs!
