For all of you who have hatched eggs from Bama I am very excited. My neighbor Just Likes to Hatch on here hatched a bunch and i mean a bunch of chicks in April and May and maybe June of Bama and some of Blue Boy and RiR and Buff Orps. Can I tell you he has some awesome looking Chickens. Now the big new is at least one of his Bama Pullets has the White Speckles. Whooo Hoo. I am going to try and get a picture this week. I didn't have my camera with me. He thinks one more has it but there were so many running around. This pullet is about 3 months old like I said it would take to develop the white.
I'm just so excited. He is going to give her back to me to continue this project.
If anyone else has the white coming on your blacks from Bama please let me know.

She is around three months and you can see the start of the white speckles on her head, wings and breast

She looks about fryer size now, Yum, YUM. Just kidding

She does have black legs which is great.

Funny thing. Angie you will appreciate this. I got so excited I didn't even look at he leg color to see if it was dark which would be great or if it was light like Bama's. I may just have to go in the morning to make the picture.
Can you tell I am excited.

That is awesome Bama! Now fill me in..are you working on jubilee or black/white mottled? This is incredibly cool, regardless. Congrats! I can't wait to see pics too. [IMG]

Edited to add - after the first year moult, the mottling should come in better. [IMG]
