    I have 2 rir laying not sure which one laid it. I have 3 mix brahams that are now 21 weeks old.

    It seems that whenever the egg is notably larger there is a greater chance og it being a multiple yolk.

    Well two of my RIR girls laid their first eggs this week! I was sooo excited and even though small, I thought that perhaps as they mature a little more the eggs will increase in size. Now, looking at your eggs, I wondering why their eggs are so small?
    Any suggestions?

    Wow, that is one large egg!!! It is funny - first we are happy just to get an egg...then we want them to get past the pullet size egg...my chicks complain that I am hard to please (My dh says the same thing)...... [​IMG]
