Well, I had tossed five coturnix eggs from my ladies in, they were due tomorrow and on the third. They were tossed earlier this week, because they were infertile. [IMG] However, tonight's collection included a damaged egg, so I popped the sucker open and found a pretty little bullseye. [IMG] I have 21 eggs saved up, BUT, some of them may be infertiles still, and some are pretty old, because I was collecting these as edible eggs. Sooo, I have to pull out a different carton for hatching eggs now. [IMG] I also think I have my pack'n'play pen figured out, so I'm going to pull that out for a brooder once my quail from ChernDon hatch, then I'll have plenty of room to raise my own meat birds. Also going to pull the older chooks from their cage and get them a travel crate instead, since they're getting their diapers soon and will be free-ranging when they're not sleeping, so, that will make another cage open. Just haven't decided exactly what I'm doing. The pack'n'play will definately be for coturnix, plus my current pen, and I think the chook pen will have coturnix in it once I get some of ChernDon's eggs out of the brooder, then I think the one massive brooder may go for a button community. Who knows, lol.

Lol. I'm still waiting for your monster birds to lay some eggies for me! Plus, someone on here had some NICE sized eggs (like double normal jumbo eggs) that I'd like to get. Then I'll probably replace my current breeders and sell these guys off, but I may just keep them, lmfao. I just can't bring myself to kill these guys, since they're the first birds to lay FERTILE eggs (dovies don't count, though I luv them, lol) for me. Even though they are jerks, they freaking attack me even when I just walk by the cage, lol. It's a wonder they let Grem stick his fingers in there and don't bother with him, but I can't even walk past the cage without them jumping up and trying to "attack"! I think it's because they associate me with food, so they're not "attacking" per say, but jumping for food, lol. Anyways, I ramble a lot when I'm tired and worn out, lol.

You should have seen the egg that was layed today by one of my A & M hens (and not even a large a & m hen) she layed a HUGE bantam sized egg sadly it was chipped so I opened it nice double yolker!!! My second one (first one came from my golden pen, and that egg wasnt even huge and was incubated and I had to assist the hatch buth both still died sadly.

Are you interested in a pre-payment? I can pay you in advance for my eggs if you want to put that towards your shipment... Lol.
BTW, do you remember who had the other monster eggs here? I remember they posted a pic of them holding like three eggs, and you had made a comment on it, but my mind is fried and I can't remember who it was! I did have one egg that size from ChernDon, but I don't think it's fertile. Were your double yolkers funky shaped? I remember the double yolker chicken eggs we got as kids were always really weird shaped...

What's the diaper for? Please tell me it's for coturnix! [IMG]

Quote:LOL no hunnie that's okay I'd feel weird about that as it'd be weeks before you ever got eggs (well months actually, a few days before i get the eggs, then 18 days incubation then 6-8 weeks before they lay, then another 18 days to proove they are fertile to myself before i feel safe shipping out (i hate going by the bullseye because that's a waste of an egg to me plus i second guess myself if what im seeing is fertile or not all the time)! LOL! SO yeah i'd feel bad waitin! LOL!

Honestly the one layed today was perfect just HUUUUGE I looked at the egg in my hand then looked back at my a & ms and shook my head.... that HAD to of hurt! LOL! but hte golden egg the only thing that was weird about it was it was circular instead of egg shaped but not huge at all.

ANND the other big egg person is lilralphieroosmama "Cindy" in ohio [IMG]
