How much will the cayugas be? Are you selling them or just trading? And what do you sell the sebastopols for? And these are eggs only, correct? No ducklings/goslings? Thanks, Shelley

I should probably add that prices will be set in April--and trades MUST be of equal value (or close to it).

For example:

I would not consider trading 4 Sebbie eggs for 6 cochins.

However, I may consider 2 Sebbie eggs for a dozen delawares.

Shelley, I would guess that I'd be asking $20 for 6 Cayugas, shipped. The Sebbies--they will be first year layers this upcoming spring--and I've only got a trio (two geese & one gander). I'm not sure what I'll be charging for eggs, yet but last year I was paying between $8 and $15 per egg. I ended up buying this trio a few months back because it was going to be cheaper in the long run to just invest in some adults than it was to keep trying (and failing) at hatching them out myself & then waiting for a few years of feeding them before they reached breeding age!

Yeah I was told they are really hard to hatch, but they are $50 for day old babies!! That is a bit much for me, but I'm not prepared to spend over $100 on two birds! Plus I would have to order at least 4 from what I have found. That is the smallest order! Unbelievable!

I know you wont know your prices till later, but could you give me a round about price for 6 of the sebastopal eggs? I like them but heard they're hard to come by.
Thanks
