yea, my birds peck at the metal on the cage a good bit, not sure why. I have heard of this cuddlefish bone, you think that might be able to deter them from pecking on the metal, and peck on that instead?

Cuttle bone is a source of calicium, you get it in pet stores. Now my quail love it (I buy in 12 packs cheap from ebay), you can try it. But birds, like toddlers just put things in thier mouths.

THEY PECK AT THE WIRE BECAUSE THERE'S NO WINDOWS FOR THEM TO LICK

You need to give them something to do. Sounds like boredom. Cut a branch from a tree with the leaves on it to peck at. Or a small box of hay or grass. Throw some food in the box with the hay so they can scratch around.

They have a samdbox as well as a roost type thing inside the closed area, i went ahead and bought some cuttlefish bone that i will put on the inside so the can hopefully peckat that
