I can not remember the leg colouring for black astrolops ( I probably spelled it wrong ) I have a hen who has dark grey legs and a sleek black body with a single comb. Her feathers are a shiny dark green in the sun. Is she a black star or a Black Astrolop?? What is the leg colouring difference?

a black star is a black sex link and would have brown/copper in the hackles or maybe even on the body. black australorps are solid black with slate legs

she is either a australrop or jersey giant, what color are her feet bottoms? Australrops, giants and black stars have black legs, but as Hdowden said, black stars are not solid black in feather color, Giants have yellow feet bottoms and australrops have pinkish white feet bottoms. Hope this helps
