Our girls are about 8 months but "Dorothy" has us raising our eyebrows! She looks like a rooster but doesn't act like one and she's a very sweet girl...what do you think?[IMG]

That's a hen. No male feathering at all.

I'm thinking Dorothy is probably a rooster. The big combs and wattles, along with the tail, seem roosterish. I'm a little rusty about telling chicken's genders, so I could be completely wrong though. Do you have a picture of Dorothy next to your other girls?

I once had the sweetest rooster, he'd follow me around the yard and perch on my arm until I took him off - If Dorothy is indeed a rooster, I hope they will continue to be super sweet!

Edit: Oops, it does seem that I am rather rusty - Ignore my post! :)

Edit: Or maybe not then xD Congrats on such a docile rooster! They are absolutely precious :)

I think Dorothy is a rooster because of the big comb and tail feathers.

Hi and welcome to BYC. Ideally your question would be best answered on the "what breed or gender is this?"
    All the best

Dorothy is "screaming" Rooster to me. If so ,hope the sweet temperament prevails. There are some well mannered roosters - I just never met one.
