This is a 5 week old black australorp. Her name is Stella but now I'm thinking it might not be a Stella. Any help will be appreciated..

It's not the clearest of pictures... Can you post more? Perhaps one of comb, and feet?

Quote:thats just what my 5 week old looks like. I have 29 of them and he is the only one (so far at least) with wattles and his comb is really pink while the others are all still orange or brown combed. Thats really the only physical difference between him and some others.....same size, same legs. Wondering if they are developing slower or if I got 28 girls and a boy...

I vote GIRL!! Comb doesn't look too red, no wattles, ...

One of my Australorp hens was always tall and gangly, with no tail. She turned out perfectly beautiful, and has the best tail of all! You should just wait it out!
