Help-I have too many black feather legged bantam roosters. Free Roosters! I am located just west of Oklahoma City. Merry Christmas Thanks Valerie
Hey welcome to the board! I am south of OKC. Do you know what kind they are? Could you post pictures? I am interested!
Thanks for the welcome. Nice to see another Okie on the boards. They are Black Cochin Bantams. I ordered them from McMurray hatchery a fews years go. Then..I've let the hens set and OF COURSE most of the hatch has been roosters. I'm in Yukon. I've thought about putting an ad in the OKC paper...but I'm afraid they will be used for coyote, bobcat, etc. bait. I'd love for the 'boys' to go to a good home. Valerie
If you're looking for a good home, you've certainly come to the right place!! Wish I was closer to you.
Hm, Black Cochins... Not on my wish list, but I may take a pair, if I can get a hen. How much are you asking for them? Have you shown any of them? How old are they? Are they pure? The OKC paper is a good place to advertise. There's also ok4free.com, and the OEC newsletter if you get that. (Have to be an OEC member. If not, and you ever get desperate, I will list it for you.) BUT I am pretty sure you can find someone on here. Do a search for 'Okies on the BYC' the post originated by Buckguy20. There's a bunch of us!
The roosters are FREE to a good home. Some are probably close to 3 years old...a couple of the guys are only a year. I will see if I can post a picture this weekend. I have not shown them. That does sound like fun tho.
Oh what a pretty boy! I would love to have one, but I don't know how things would go over in my pen. Right now none of my birds in the big pen are old enough to know they are roos. But I don't know how the Cochin roo would take to the others. Any ideas anyone?
OH I think you need him! Or two hims! haha I really want to find him (and a friend or two) a new home. I might be willin to donate a hen to go with him. Valerie
