Black banties -- any guesses on gender?

We're 6 or 7 weeks old -- can you tell what we are yet?

Hmm, it's only a guess but I'd say male. With crests that defined at that age I'd say male, but I have been fooled before and I'm not familiar with the breed so it's development rates may be different to what I'm used to.

They both look like hens to me.

Hmmm - one vote for roos and one vote for hens... anyone else have a guess?

They look pretty hennish to me too at that age with no more comb development than that.

And the wattles are very small...i say both hens

As I was saying, I've been fooled before lol.

In fact I have two birds right now that I just don't know what they are. I'm developing patience to see whether they start crowing or if I ever spot them laying eggs lol

Now I look back at the photos I can see they could easily be female... or male, no, wait, female!...or just a bit male?...

I need more practice at this

Both girls! They look like a cross between an OEGB and Silkie. Their feathers looks soft like my Silkie/Cochin cross.

The smaller one has me saying Pullet. The bigger one.. the tail is throwing me off! But the head says pullet as well, with the coloring of the comb and small size. (depending on what breeds they are, the comb can be an unreliable place to look..)

More than likely though, two pullets.
