Are there any breeds that are all black as chicks with a little white on their butt and under their beak? I just got 3 chicks from a nieghbour today and so far we know we have 1 leghorn, and either a buff orp or buff rock (yellow pinkish feet). But mine is a mystery. Does anyone know as to what breed he/she is?

Nope just on his bottom and a little under his neck. I checked almost all of MMH black chickens and all have a signifagant amount of white in their feathering.

Barred rocks have a yellow spot on top of their heads.

Could it be a black sex-link chick? Here's a pic of one of mine

They also have some brown feathers once they get a week or so old...

Sorry; I was having a brain vacation when I posted earlier. My Australorps are NOT nearly all black w/ white, they have a considerable amount of yellow on them as well as the white wing tips. The chick in your pic may be a barred rock or maybe a sex link??
