    Hi all,

We had an add-in from Mcmuuray's hatchery in the spring that turned out to be a completely black chicken. Today, that hen layed her first egg and it was clearly a blueish/green egg. What breed could it be? I will be adding to pics later today, but this chicken looks exactly like our Australorp, except a tad skinnier and longer tail.

    Thanks

Almost certainly an Easter Egger. It's the only common hatchery breed that lays blue/green. (technically a hybrid, not a true breed, but all the same.)
