    Alright...

You know when you have one chicken you keep going back and forth every day; "Cunegonde is a she", next day: Cunegonde is a he!" and the day after, "I think Cunegonde is a she"...

Well here you go! Maybe you guys will be able to help me (she should be around 12 weeks old now):

Also, she seems pretty small compare to my white cochin girl (and we are sure she's a she!)... could Cunegonde be a bantam? How can you tell?

As usual, thanks a lot! [IMG]

My bantam cochins are about 2 lbs. plus or minus a few ounces each. How much does she weigh?

If it is a bantam, I would guess it is a pullet based on the photos. I have a 5 week old bantam cockerel with the same size comb as her right now. If it is large fowl, I might guess cockerel because I thought they development much slower. Maybe someone else with large fowl cochins will chime in.

I think hen at first glance. But the red waddles are telling me rooster. But on the same hand its comb isn't perfect...so I'm guessing hen. (2/3 votes) Wait until she crows, if she does its a rooster

My vote is pullet too. I believe you have a blue Cochin bantam on your hands though. Very pretty. My daughter would love to have her in her flock.
