I've noticed that my welsummers' toenails are all a pale black color (lol), not like midnight "dead" black, but just black. There's a pic attached. Also one of them has bock tipped scales over her foot and up to her ankle. Picture also attached. Is this ok, or is something going on with them?

    Whole black foot:

This is what the rest look like, just the toenail is black on the other 4:

Can anyone tell me if this is ok or if they have a fungus or something?

I've read that Welsummers are derived by mixing certain others partridge breeds together. One of those breeds is the Partridge Penedesenca. Those birds have lovely dark blue/grey legs. I suspect that this is just some of those genes showing through.
