Black Copper Maran - forever trying to figure out gender

    Yeah, it looks like a rooster. The tail feathers look boyish and the hackles look pointy. He's really pretty though. (Don't you hate it when they're so gorgeous but you can't keep it? [​IMG])

    It would be nice if I was wrong though... [​IMG]

    Gypsy: I believe 11-12 weeks...not 100% sure though

    Loth: I really wish you were wrong....It is SO hard to get a new home for them.......

    rooster....see his pointy saddle feathers coming in. pullets and hens do not get any copper in their bodies like the males do, they should have copper hackles though.
