Black Copper Maran trying to set her eggs, but the big rooster seems to be bothering her.

They are in a pen by themselves and I wanted to see if she would set on eggs--which she is doing--. It seems the rooster which is "BIG!!" is trying to still mate her in the evening. Note: they have never gone a perch juct stay on the ground.

    Any suggestions...

Take the rooster away and put him in a separate pen so that he can not bother the hen and potentially break the eggs.

Can you just put him back with the flock?

No, the other roosters attack him although he is twice their size; he ain't no fighter
