    Cockerel, I'd guess in the 4ish month range. A pullet won't have the red on the body like this guy does.

    DANGIT!!! You're always giving me bad news, donrae. ;P I had my heart set on dark brown eggs. But I've been noticing this guy and Grade (my EE who's a recently outed cockerel) are best friends. This is a problem, since I have only 8 birds total. Sigh...

    I would say cockerel as well - here are a couple of my BCM hens.

    I'm near Rigby, ID. The guy I bought my birds from said I could trade them in if any ended up being roosters, which is a great deal. Now I just have to track him down.

    Yeah, definitely looks like a cockerel to me too. Good luck trading for a pullet!
