Black copper marans pullets or roo's

Please can anyone tell me if these 2 are pullets or roos. Both are the same age but after looking at various pictures we're not sure if they are younger, they should be 15weeks now

Both look like pullets, but I'm not sure the second one is a pure Marans. That brownish color by her wings and her general shape lead me to believe she is mixed. That one in particular looks younger than 15 weeks.

Thank you we got them from the same person and where ment to be from same hatch out of very dark strain both 10 weeks old here is a pic of the 2nd one when we got them

The picture of the 2nd one is about 1 week older. I've just gone out and taken some more not the best sorry but can definitely see more copper coming through now. Yeah I think they were younger than we have been told.

Oh you didn't hatch them? Yes I do believe they are younger. That second one looks off for a Marans. Will be interesting to see what color eggs she eventually lays. I'm thinking she didn't come from those eggs.

No didn't hatch them they just showed us pictures of the eggs. Thank you for your help

My marans were hatched on May1. The boys were showing combs and waddles early. Its harder to determine gender if you don't have both sexes to compare. Unless you are a chicken sexpert like Overo Mare! The birds are about 12 weeks old in this photo

Thank you looking at your photo I'm thinking mine might even be younger than yours. Mine is still chirping poor things why aren't people just truthful about their age !
