Black Copper Marans Rooster

Hi all new to site and chickens.

Picked up assortment of chickens OE, Crested legbars, Barred Rock and BCM hens and rooster

Was told the BCM rooster was full blooded.
He doesn't have any copper as of yet the hens appear to be legit feathered lega copper neck etc. Rooster looks like the hens no copper on the neck yet about 15 weeks old. Do they rooster develop more copper letter in life?

Hmm. I don't have any experience with bcm roosters, but I'd think he'd have a little copper on him. Somebody will probably be able to tell you otherwise.

Although, there will be differences in breeding as well.

I do believe this is a pullet....at 15 weeks, a cockerel would likely not only show significantly larger, redder comb/wattles, but he'd have red wing bars.

Pretty sure if copper were going to manifest, it would've by now.
