Black dots on roosters comb

I started noticing these black dots on our roosters comb. He has a bigger black spot on his wattle that I noticed today. I did see one of our hens peck his comb the other day. Could it be from pecking?

Those do look like peck wounds. If they continue to enlarge it could be fowl pox. Wait and see.

Should I treat them with anything? If it is pecking, do you know of a way to prevent it?

I don't treat until I see bleeding or flies. Pecking is normal with chickens. Making sure there's plenty of room and places to forage so birds can burn off excess energy. Bored crowded birds are more likely to peck and harass each other. You do have to expect a bit of wear and tear as pecking is a part of a chickens vocabulary.
