Black eyelid is this normal?

I have a barred rock named Lucky she is four years old. I noticed her eye lid was black is this normal? Its not from pecking. This is the best pic I could get. While walking she holds it halve way closed.

That looks like a third eyelid, also called the nictitating membrane, which is normal. It is hard to catch in pictures usually.
