Hi, I am raising some straight-run Black Langshans. They are two weeks old. I'm not sure how many are roosters, but we're planning to eat those ones. Anyway, I need to have them processed before they start crowing (because of neighbour).

When is the best time to have them processed?

Also, I'm wondering if they do, indeed, have yellow flesh. I couldn't find much on the Internet about that. My hen is very black (feathers, legs, and beak), so I'm concerned that their flesh will be black too.

Thanks for your help.

The process time will be a while. You can process before they crow but you'll have a small dinner. Just keep an eye out and watch for when the meat yeild is signifigant enough to butcher.

Hi Peace,
I'm not sure if your black langshans are the same as over here (Australia), but here their skin and flesh are white.
regards
Erica
